cmd+<num> to open/switch to another pane
cmd+shift+f for find-in-files (i fw this heavy, but i need to use mouse :c)

i almost never use 5j or 7k to move relative to current position, when i see an error at a certain line, i just use :120 to jump there

if i need to do tedious work, i create macro and run it multiple times like

visual line mode is the real game-changer

1) delete/yank multiple lines of code
2) use I or A to put the cursor at the start/end of every line

i move vertically using k/j or {, } depends how much fine movement i need
i move horizontally using w/b or 0, $ or I, A (i rarely use h/l)

I use <kj> to switch to normal mode, i saw a video about this setup, and it surely is better than esc
