There is plenty of research which consistently shows empathy, compassion are absent in those of high financial outcome. i.e. those 1% elites are perfectly fine and dismissive of the fact - your destruction is even a concern. Elites and Stalin have the same attitude in common

Reports 80% published research based on doctored data; yet China leads in 37 of 44 critical technologies. R selection growth, unstable as it maybe, creates substantial invention. China's economy with its A1 productive infrastructure withstands regular decimation, yet high innovation prevails.

That was a secondary purpose of tariffs. When the 5 lowest deciles (50% of the pop) only contribute 3% to income tax bc they are too poor to pay. How do you extract their remaining wealth? (i) Force them into a rentier economy (ii) use tariffs as a tax on them they can't avoid.

Corporations really hate accountability and transparency. All the more reason to make them adhere to precepts our societies are supposed to be based on. When corporations no longer engage in reciprocity, let alone responsibility, ordoliberalism fails: demand accountability and transparency.
