And just last month I was able to hook up a chip musician with a complete soundboard + audience recording of a set after they commented on fb about how they thought it was completely lost. In their words, it meant the world to them. 😃

And yeah, I can attest to artists appreciating the documentation - I’ve on both ends of that! A few years ago someone uploaded a copy of a small show we did in 2015 that I thought was lost. My own recording got corrupted.

I grew up far away from a lot of the music scenes I was interested in, and any scrap of live audio/video was like a window into another world. The thought of providing that for another fan still motivates me to grab a video or two at most shows I go to.
