First saw DS9 in bits and pieces, then in sequence. Later episodes when (no spoilers:) a Gul and a Kai go off the deep ends and a Captain is engaged with the wormhole, were weird and fascinating first time when I didn't know what was going on, but less so when I knew how they got there. Still a fan.

I love this! I used a pinball machine metaphor for a different but related purpose--an evolving population in its environment.
