🕍 Wonderful to attend the Wimbledon Synagogue's Civic Service, with colleagues, the German Ambassador & members of the community.

Thank you for being so welcoming & running such an open service.

Children in #Wandsworth have received 2.4m free school meals since Sept 2023 thanks to the Mayor’s pioneering policy.

👏 That’s more nutritious, sociable lunchtimes for primary school kids in London.
Two years ago, I introduced a pioneering policy to provide free school meals for all of London’s state primary school children.

Today we’re celebrating 100 million free school meals provided since September 2023.

🎉 Battersea Power Station & Wandsworth Council have announced that they will build over 200 new social homes in the heart of #Battersea.

🏘 Campaigning hard on this issue since being elected in 2017, I am delighted to see this become a reality, giving more people in Battersea the home they deserve.

It is our responsibility as Parliamentarians to stand up for a free press and high journalistic standards at all costs.

Proud to sign this letter with colleagues with two urgent questions regarding the BBC.

Lord Dubs of Battersea is quite right.

The proposed immigration changes are needlessly cruel and will do little to make our immigration system more humane, workable, safe or responsible. I strongly encourage the Govt to look again at proposals.

🎄 Wonderful to kick off the festive season with the @batterseapwrstn.bsky.social Christmas lights switch-on!

Always lovely to bring our community together with festive spirit, the fab choir - & an appearance from the one and only Kylie Minogue!

Undoubtedly, we are in the midst of a catastrophic housebuilding crisis that requires radical change.

However, excluding Councils - who truly understand their communities - from the planning process is the wrong approach.

Councils to lose power to block large housing developments
The housing secretary will take the ability to veto local objections and speed up planning delays, but councils see it as an attack on local democracy

This is no surprise!

Before Dr Daniels’ report,  we had the Scarman report, the Macpherson Inquiry, the IPCC review, the HMIC Stop & Search Report, the Lammy Review, and the Casey Review.
This has to be a watershed moment.

They do fantastic work in raising awareness of Black heroes from many different spheres of life. It was wonderful to hear about inspiring leaders, with beautiful creative performances too.

@bsky.app This month has been an important one for women in the Church of England - including for #Battersea's St Mary's Church.

It was great to attend the institution and induction of the Reverend Erin Clark, who takes over from the Reverend Stephen & inherits a lovely community.
