Control's "The Foundation" post-game DLC started out with me thinking lessons had been learned. It was atmospheric again. Not a lot of enemies. Just very surreal.
And then it turned out that it was even worse in terms of combat, and I honestly just turned on invincibility to be on my merry way.

Control's "The Foundation" post-game DLC started out with me thinking lessons had been learned. It was atmospheric again. Not a lot of enemies. Just very surreal.

I finished A Kazdelian Rescue. That was a surprisingly cute story despite being set in Kazdel, but is also exactly what was needed.

The only things I can really fault it for was how underwhelming the supposed rivalry was as it just comes at the end and goes. But otherwise Shine Post doesn't really do anything wrong. But it just never really takes off for me. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood? I dunno.
But it was pretty at least.

Despite that, I was never really hooked besides the first few episodes. It almost becomes /too/ basic. It has the exact same plot beats you'd expect of an idol anime for most part. The characters don't stand out at all (besides being oddly attractive despite being plain?). It only offers animation.

I'm someone that always say that it's perfectly fine for a story to be basic if it's well-executed, but this show makes me question myself. It's an incredibly pretty show with plenty of lively 2D animation (seriously, watch it!), and a simple and straightforward story.
