Oh and I def hated when we had guests bc I was the one who had to give up my bedroom for it

Anyway had a dream I was inside one of the homes from the road trips. My brothers and I would just be given a space or room to put sleeping bags down on and I truly have no recollection of where my parents slept but provably a proper guest room or someone’s kid’s room

I think the last time I was inside a non-updated home / home that hadn’t been updated since before the 80s was when I was a teenager and an elderly neighbor was having a… living estate sale? She had a v cool collection of elephant things, big & small.

Something that so many things that try to do throwbacks to common ppl of the 90s or 80s miss is that homes were filled also (primarily, even!) with things from the 40s-70s / had interiors reflecting those years. I wish I could enter a time capsule home

but may slow down a smidge and bump my capstone into the fall.

I did see that a prof was assigned to it finally AND that it's not someone I want to jump ship from (I do a lot of last-min moving around once profs are assigned). I got in on a well-rated one out the gate!!!

4 courses and a capstone to go. I think I'll finish in summer...

...like I thought come spring I'd take a look at what I was eligible for given that I needed to first hit a certain amount of major credits etc. So this was yes, sort of on my radar as a thing, but also not - didn't think I was eligible for anything yet.

Feeling slightly insane following a few hail marys every 8 weeks since January in exchange for an unexpected 2k is uh... questionable but also, I've experienced worse, for less.

I also like that I didn't have to apply I just... was told it's happening. Bc merit. 🥲

Anyway it's the latter that is why I've been a bit of a bully to myself about grades (despite INITIALLY talking myself into returning to school with 'just get a C or higher and get through") - like most ppl, I am in a precarious place with things.
