Must admit, I struggled with this episode. Enjoyed Holly Hunter, some of the humour and character work, but detested the rest!

Hate to be so negative, but wasn't for me. Even left me disliking some of the characters, – not people I want to spend time watching.

Sticking with it for now though!

Wasn't convinced at the opening, but warmed to it throughout. A few misses along the way, but a positive start overall, I thought.

Enjoyed the Ups & Down too!

Staring at a blank page, trying to decide how to start the next chapter of my book.

You know, maybe watching something new might get the creative juices flowing. Worth a try 😀

Like the best Star Trek, a bit of everything. Which naturally means there'll be stuff I don't like as well as like, but that's fine. Something for everybody with an open mind.

I’m currently near the end of S2 Discovery (about to do SNW and Picard in parallel). It’s been a deliberately slow process from TOS onwards. Got to savour these things!

Sure I can find room for Academy. I’ll make sure I’ve jumped to the Discovery future first!

Look, I'm really angry about Academy airing next week. I was hoping to complete my rewatch of all the Star Trek series before it started, but they just wouldn't wait. 😀

Enjoyed all your spoiler-free thoughts yesterday. Sounds like there will be things to enjoy, and grumble about. That's Star Trek 😀

Iain Stirling?

Definitely, especially between Taskmaster episodes.

The dialogue was between them and their bank accounts.

In my head canon, it's an automated alien relay station 😀

Got S31 queued up as the endpoint of my complete ST rewatch. I‘ve started oddly looking forward to it. Sure I’ll find more things to enjoy on second watch after all that.

Getting closer now. Starting Discovery tonight, with Picard and SNW in parallel after S2 (and short treks). Phew!

It’s been a long time since I watched it. Not sure I’ve seen the freshly polished version either. Should be fun.

I’ve been inspired by your recent Ups & Downs to rewatch The Cage tonight. Realised I’d skipped it on my complete rewatch.

(Currently on last season of Lower Decks. Done Prodigy. Picard next, then Discovery)

Impressive headline. KGATLW is a great band name!

Heard a little of their stuff (often not to my taste). Intrigued what a parent would object about them.

Too experimental, difficult to pigeonhole? They're concerned about climate change and impact of technology? Write about social issues?

Unfortunately, they only cancelled the last days of the tests.
