Senator Mark Warner
@markwarner.bsky.social
U.S. Senator from Virginia.
Vice Chairman, Senate Intel Committee.
Every day this shutdown drags on, Virginians feel it, from federal workers struggling to pay their bills to families unsure how they will put food on the table because this administration is cruelly and deliberately withholding the assistance they need.
November 10, 2025 at 1:28 AM
It’s unbelievable that we’re in the longest shutdown in HISTORY… and Donald Trump is still too scared of Democrats to work out a deal and prevent huge premium increases for millions.
November 7, 2025 at 10:13 PM
From challenging court orders to pay SNAP benefits to causing the highest grocery prices we’ve seen in years, this administration is doing everything they can to not help hungry families.
November 7, 2025 at 8:13 PM
New data today shows consumer sentiment at a near-record low.

This economy isn’t working for Americans.

It’s time for Republicans to negotiate, reopen the government, and work with us to pass legislation that builds a more affordable America.
November 7, 2025 at 6:54 PM
Unbelievable. First the administration chooses to limit SNAP benefits, even though it’s clear they have the money to keep paying them out.

Now they’re announcing they plan to intentionally delay and cancel flights.

Decades of service, tenacity, and notching win after win for Democrats. Congratulations on a well-deserved retirement, Speaker Pelosi, and on your historic tenure as one of the most effective Speakers in American history.
November 6, 2025 at 2:55 PM
Trump has broken his own record for longest shutdown… and working families pay the price.

It’s long past time for him and Mike Johnson to actually come to the negotiating table and try to get a real deal done.
November 5, 2025 at 10:33 PM
Well, it’s too early to say for sure, but the Supreme Court sounds awfully skeptical of Donald Trump’s tariffs.

I strongly supported the legal fight to end them, but no matter the result of this case, I’m going to keep fighting this horrible policy that’s raising YOUR prices.
November 5, 2025 at 9:22 PM
Yesterday, America spoke. They do not like Donald Trump’s chaos.

We will keep fighting his cost-spiking policies and build a more affordable Virginia for all.
November 5, 2025 at 6:12 PM
Congratulations to all the Virginia Democrats who won last night! In Virginia and across the country, this election served as a clear signal to Trump that America is tired of his chaos.
November 5, 2025 at 5:15 PM
Congratulations to Abigail Spanberger on her historic victory as the 75th Governor of Virginia! I look forward to continuing to work together to build a stronger and more affordable Virginia. Onwards!

Have you ever, in your entire life, had a 46-day paid vacation?

House Republicans are enjoying that right now while millions of families struggle to make ends meet without a paycheck.
November 4, 2025 at 11:00 PM
While millions of families have missed paychecks or seen their health care costs skyrocket… Trump builds a ballroom, remodels his bathrooms, and throws a Great Gatsby-themed party at Mar-a-Lago.
November 4, 2025 at 7:42 PM
There are no words. Hungry kids are not a bargaining chip. Choosing to let millions go hungry is unspeakably cruel.
November 4, 2025 at 4:58 PM
I spoke with Virginians who wrote my office to share their concerns about the expiration of ACA tax credits and how it will impact them and their families. Rising costs put people’s businesses, retirement savings, and basic needs at risk. We cannot stand by as people fall off this health care cliff.
November 4, 2025 at 3:53 PM
While thousands of federal workers, contractors, and servicemembers are working without pay, House Republicans are enjoying a 45-day taxpayer-funded vacation.
November 3, 2025 at 9:23 PM
Families shouldn’t have to wonder how they’ll feed their kids because this administration would rather play politics than fully fund SNAP. Courts made clear the tools are there. They’re just choosing not to use them.

Hunger is not a bargaining chip. They should fully fund SNAP.

On Friday night, Donald Trump held a Great Gatsby-inspired Halloween party themed "A little party never killed nobody.”

On Monday morning, the Trump administration told a judge it will only PARTIALLY fund SNAP and 40 million Americans should expect delays for food benefits.
November 3, 2025 at 6:19 PM
When talking about Democrats, Trump said, “If they don’t vote, it’s their problem.”

If Trump doesn’t sit down with Democrats and negotiate to reopen the government, he will be the problem for millions of Americans losing their food aid and paying double for health care.
November 3, 2025 at 6:06 PM
If you haven’t already voted, get to the polls tomorrow and vote!
November 3, 2025 at 4:35 PM
HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Today I’m thinking about all Virginians who will be spooked when they enter the open enrollment portal and find frighteningly high health care premiums. It’s time for Republicans to extend health care tax credits and open the government.
October 31, 2025 at 5:53 PM
This is your reminder that millions of Americans will lose food benefits this weekend because Trump is refusing to tap his emergency fund.

Kids will go to school hungry because of this cruelty.
October 30, 2025 at 10:14 PM
Finally, some progress on affordability… I helped lead an effort to peel back some of Trump’s tariffs, and it passed the Senate.

Good to see SOME Republicans find a spine to stand up to Trump… now let’s see if the House has the same strength.
October 30, 2025 at 8:43 PM
UNBELIEVABLE. These boat strikes in the Caribbean are driving us closer to war… and this administration thinks it’s fine to hide details from Democrats and divulge more to their handpicked Republicans??

Is the safety of our troops a joke to them?
October 30, 2025 at 6:24 PM
National security and the safety of our troops are on the line… and Republicans think this is something they can just keep secret from Democrats.
