I know you weren't disagreeing. The Native of reference is perfect ammunition for lazy tree fillers of which there are millions as you already know. You are right about any kind of record. Thanks for your comment.

There are many possibilities, but the caution still applies. Absent a birth record, guessing because there is an obit or other newspaper article that uses the term "Native of" just causes errors if one jumps to an erroneous conclusion.
