I think the key parallel to present day 🇺🇸 is the casual acceptance (even the celebration) of the cruelty in the boat strikes, the ICE raids, violence against political enemies. The dehumanization is the goal.

This has Vance’s (and Musk’s and Thiel’s) fingerprints all over it. The thing that blows my mind is that Vance has AN INDIAN wife! If diluting whiteness > civilizational suicide, he and his family are leading the charge. He better hurry up and ditch her for Erika Kirk.

It’s amazing how incredibly stupid Patel and Bondi are. Some MAGA field agents probably came to them and said “the guys an anarchist” and they believed them when anyone with a brain knew he had to be a Trumpy. This is going to backfire spectacularly.

The real problem is they've won if you start engaging with guys like Cotton on specifics. There is no “war”, they are in no way “enemy combatants”, no weapons, 1000s of miles from 🇺🇸. Every strike is murder. Every one.

Isn't this a cautionary tale: Zuck changed the name of FB to Meta bc he was a true believer that the “metaverse” would transform work, education, entertainment, dating, social interaction, everything. Tech bros spent a Trillion developing it, now abandoned. Is AI the next Metaverse?

Doesn’t this one incident, and this one survivor, prove the lie of the whole campaign? If he’s willing to testify with proof that they’re bombing fishing boats and killing fisherman, then their intelligence is WRONG, the rationale is WRONG, and it's illegal and murder. Where's the media?

Then tell the GOP senators they can have it one of 2 ways: he’ll nominate 4 new moderate judges and try to get 60 votes, and if that fails, he’ll appoint 4 new hard left judges and do it with 50 + the VP. Problem solved

First thing the next Dem president who has 50 Sens must do on day one is declare a “rule of law” emergency (on the basis that Robert’s SC decisions clearly wrong and politically biased). Then shut down the Court on the basis he’s renovating the building to accommodate 13 judges.

You're right. More a case of those who forget (or never learn) the past being doomed to repeat it. The MAGAs have taken the lessons of the ‘30s authoritarians more as a “how-to” manual than a cautionary tale.

This Trump’s strategy (which is working perfectly with the MAGA base). Don't just lie: make preposterous statements that can't possibly be true (these %s are mathematically impossible). “I've won 38 club championships” “I’ve solved 8 wars”. It grinds the MAGAs down so they doubt any facts.

Not sure if you read Trump’s post on Saturday night but their new position is “re-migration” and “denaturalization. Which would mean Rubio’s, Patel’s, Habba’s, and Melania’s parents would be sent back to their country of origin.
