Just to be clear, that’s not coffee. That’s a weird druid fluid called “Eo-seong-cho-tang” Quite invigorating.

But increasingly, it’s more like this.

The smog blasts that hit every time the weather warms up and the air currents move from the SW are from China.

Korea’s day-to-day air pollution is another matter (although that’s getting better too).

Someone should make a movie about this postwar Vienna X: The Turd Man.

I always thought Bosh and DD were grinders. Scoring felt like work for them. Vince was awesome but needed a good guard to set him up.

This is where we differ, I guess. All art has context and Andor really changed the context of Rogue One. Definitely didn’t make it “good”, but enough to make the film a lot more interesting/enjoyable.

Rogue One is a really interesting rewatch post-Andor. It’s definitely gone up a lot for me.

I simply do not understand how anyone finds that loser to be some kind of “masculine” role model. Same as I don’t understand people who idolize Trump … just so obviously a world-class loser. Or people who love prosperity theology. I feel like I missed some kind of Shitheel 101 lesson, way back when

Oh to be the biggest fish in the smallest, slimiest pond~

How did I miss this whole, neverending blather about masculinity? Be honest, be strong, be the best person you can be … but who cares how masculine or feminine that is? Always seemed like a pointless distinction to me.

My devious son was rooting for both SHM’s team and the Canadian team, guaranteeing him victory no matter who won. Good job.

I was the Korea correspondent for Science magazine when KAIST hired that Stanford professor, Robert Laughlin, as president. He was to make the school English-language and international. You can imagine how poorly that went.

Don’t Pohang and KAIST offer a lot of English classes now?

For a moment, I thought that was Olivia Nuzzi working on her next story.
