“grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference”
In the spirit of the exceptionalista I should point out that the Spanish health system would collapse without my input

Yes, I pay €157 per month now I’m 65

The people who vote for Farage are the same people that think Brexit wasn’t done properly or even more ridiculously claim it hasn’t even happened yet

All of those Brexit effects wouldn’t have happened under the Farage clean break in their addled brains

"...He (Starmer) identified the US, the EU and China as 'three global giants … all interacting with each other' and predicted that Britain’s future 'will be determined by how we navigate this dynamic'..."

We should still be a member of one of those global giants rather than just hoping for the best

Fortunately for old Brits healthcare is a transferable benefit under the WA so when they claim their state pension they get free healthcare via their S1

The WA of course that Farage and his moronic acolytes didn’t think necessary because they wanted to walk away from our outstanding debts to Europe

A new Super Loop idea

The Bus never stops so nobody needs to get on or off

I think Starmer was considered a “remainer” due to his support for a second referendum, but really I believe it was more because he’s such a stickler for due process he just thought it was the right thing to do

He has a completely different take because he’s an accountant not an economist

Sounds like a brilliant idea to restrict immigration so we have fewer workers to pay for our pensions in the future

Not sure the Brexiters read the memo

If you turn to the sports pages you will find that Mr Bloom is held up as the ideal football club owner, an absolute genius

Strangely the fact that much of his wealth is derived from betting on sports, often the same sport his clubs compete in is rarely mentioned

At the very least they should explain fully who these “think tank” and lobby groups are, who they represent and how they are funded

They just platform them and allow them to pretend they are neutral and represent ordinary people

It will be interesting to see if he tones down his exceptionalism now, or just continues regardless

It appears to be a good earner for him on X so I doubt he’ll stop

Unfortunately it’s necessary, a run on Gilts feeding into a run on GBP is the last thing we can cope with at the current time

It’s not pandering to anyone, it’s keeping our economy afloat

MMT is only the answer if there is confidence in our debt and currency

bring about an option to join again, but in the meantime they would like the EU MS to make concessions to remove some of the negative consequences of their stupidity
December 2, 2025 at 9:14 AM
We were told we would stop paying €25 billion and that nothing else would change

Lots of people who voted to leave clearly believed that, and now many are regretting their decision and can’t understand why Europe won’t give them an easy escape route

They hope one day that political opinion will
December 2, 2025 at 9:12 AM
The European Movement UK either

1. Do little or no background checks or vetting on the people who put themselves forward

2. Have done the necessary checks and find nothing wrong with his constant claims of unfairness and calls for Schengen to be scrapped

Neither is a good look for them
December 1, 2025 at 6:51 PM
We shouldn’t forget that the LibDems were calling the Schengen rules “unfair” only a few months ago and campaigning for them to be scrapped

The EM also has previous, doing much the same thing when calling for special deals for “creatives” so they can tour more easy

It's not just cowardly but strategically dumb bcoz if u just blame the deal not the principle then it gives Farage the green light 2 promise unicorns by saying "we'd negotiate a better deal" no point arguing against Boris' deal if u don't attack Brexit itself. Lab stuck in 20-24' opposition

I thought your official position now is that Europe should dismantle the Schengen Zone and offer cheap and easy visas so that one of your board members can swan around Europe easily

His claim that we need to reduce trade frictions like we have recently done with USA and India is beyond ridiculous
