Seems Arsenal are faced with two options in attack Rodrygo + ST or Eze + Madueke + ST. I feel Rodrygo for a rotational winger + Eze is a nice compromise and fair trade. Thoughts?

Madrid are definitely not dropping 90-100M on a CB. Only way he goes is if he shafts us and goes on a free. But if he wants to do that, he will do it anyway. See Trent - Liverpool won everything and he will still go, so no point worrying about it.

Also, it is why we get these seamless leaps in performance once we get better players. Of course we could compromise and loosen the system to suit the current players more, but by now it is clear Arteta (rightly or wrongly) wants us to be the very best long term, so ufortunately it ain't happening.

I think during Arteta's reign the quality of the system always outpaces that of the personnel, so every other year we hit this plateau and it leads to these narratives like "he wants us to score the perfect goal", now it''s "we are too defensive", etc.

It is by Gary Jacob, he is briefed directly by the club, so the article is ambiguous because the club wants it to be so (or they geniuinly don't know yet but less likely). I think it is safe to say he will definitely miss some time.
