The lyrics are quite simple in translation, "Sing, sing I, I sing" - You can chant along to them even if you do not know the language. The intention of the chant is just to breathe life and hope, you don't have to be one identity or another to let it help you make some space for yourself

If there's a better, more well expressed, poem for those oppressed, I don't know it. That it was written by someone wrongly imprisoned and who refused to the death their oppression

This chant is one done during a death. In Circassian tradition it is shameful to show pain. This chant is done when someone is dying to hide any painful screams they may have. It rises as the moment of death comes to the person, allowing them dignity as they pass
