My E-golf has a heat pump for the cabin, but it was an (unpopular?) optional extra. The car doesn't have great range to start with, so the small improvement* in range in very cold weather is quite valuable to me. I guess now EVs have ample range there's less benefit.
*~5km lost per hour vs 10km

Some repairs underway now. We've got two racers with brush problems, and two with throttle problems. On the whole, we're doing well with reliability and most racers are finishing, so we've had some good races today.
