For example, does the retrieved temperature structure make sense and if not what is causing it? Kayla Smith (LPL grad student) and I are nearing a paper about one planet that tries to do this and I think more people should work on this.

My personal biggest issue with the collective retrievals literature is that almost never is the question asked “ok this is the preferred solution, how physically plausible is it?”. Like if you created the entire atmosphere in a glass box on giant sound stage and walked away, what would happen?
