Blue (2023) boiler @ 65 degrees. Orange (2024) boiler at low temp, weather comp. Grey (2025) ASHP. Same house over 3 years. KWh per month for heating and hot water. Boiler optimisation and the heat pump install by Custom Renewables, Heat Geek.

I did 24 kWh, which is a touch better than yesterday when I didn’t even manage 1 kWh 🤣

Nice to see, no degradation in 18 months.

I did ask for 100A upgrade, but National Grid no longer fit these to new domestic properties. The 80A can run at 100A for over 2 hours, but I’d just feel more comfortable if my typical load was comfortably within the limit.

Despite the fud, heat pumps work just fine in the cold. Here’s ours keeping the whole house cosy, using barely 1.5 kW. (And we’re still waiting for the developer to fix the big gaps in the insulation).
