Listening to the song "This Is Radio Clash". What are the first few notes? They're a really familiar tune, used for Hallowe'en or scary spiders in TV shows and movies. I've heard it many times before. Also used on the track "Monsters" by The Sugars.

Another Christmas issue, this time Sbec for S4C in Wales in 1983. Any idea who the ones at the top are or what the programme is?

Also looking at Television Weekly for Wales and the West, Christmas 1959. Who are the middle two stars in the top row and the middle star in the 2nd row?

Looking at an old Channel Viewer edition from 1963. I can recognise Patrick McNee, Honor Blackman, Elizabeth Kingdon, Michael Miles, Roger Moore and Shirley Temple, but who is the last face at the bottom? Anyone know?

Please help! Does anyone know which photographer took any of these TV Times Christmas cover photos (1963, 1967, 1971, 1973)? The issues themselves don’t say and I’ve tried asking everywhere to no avail (the last two were probably higher end freelancers)!

Does anyone have all the episodes of UKTV Gold’s 2008 series “When Were We Funniest”? I’ve looked everywhere and asked everyone connected to the production I can find without success!

@jamiebear.uk Hi, would I be able to DM you about a TV Times project I’m working on please?

Urgh, why is finding archive material so hard? At every turn, I get to another dead end. I know what I’m looking for is relatively trivial but I find it sad there’s not one big BBC or ITV archive to freely search online. Everything is so hidden. I get why (copyright) but it’s still so disheartening.

@munecat.com Hi, would you be able to ask your mum if she still has a digital copy of Channel 4's The Ultimate Chart from the early 2000s please? She posted a clip on YouTube years ago but I can't find the whole show anywhere! Thanks!

@shaquiuk.bsky.social Hi Shaqui, hope you're feeling well still. I just wondered if you'd considered my request about the Look-In Winter Specials at all please? Thanks in advance.

@petertelford.bsky.social Are you the same Peter Telford who worked for Tyne Tees Television and worked on some of Channel 4's 100 Greatest shows? Apologies if not.

Anyone any good at remastering an audiobook that’s been converted from cassette to CD?

If anyone knows the family of the original staff mentioned in this article (Stanley Naish, Gerald Scheff, Lewis Patience, Arthur Theodore Henry Rowland-Entwistle), and also deputy art editor Seymour Gray (sons were Malcolm, Bruce and Nigel), please put them in touch!

@lukecustardtv.bsky.social Do you happen to keep recordings of any shows you've reviewed? I'm looking for something from (admittedly) several years ago, When Were We Funniest on Gold in 2008. You can't find the series anywhere. I know you reviewed it though. Long shot but any chance you kept it?

@stuartkenny.bsky.social Hi Stuart, do you have full episodes of "The Best Show in the World...Probably" please? I think it was you who uploaded the intro to TVARK. Happy to DM if needed.

@dm-841.bsky.social Hi Daniel, do you happen to have the 50 Greatest Comedy Films programme in full from Channel 4 please?

@sirpaintalot.bsky.social Not sure if you still take requests, but I'd love for you to paint someone who is trying to do every part of the Spitting Image song, from "Hold a chicken in the air" up to "Disembowel yourself with spears".

Retweeting once again. Was your father or grandfather a cartoonist who used the name "Scherzo"? If so, I'd love to hear from you! bsky.app/profile/mark...
Does anyone know the cartoonist "Scherzo" was? He was mentioned in a TV Times article in January 1959 as being a Northerner in his mid-thirties. He did cartoons for them (as well as the covers of a few TV Times Christmas Extra editions) and also for Meccano magazine in 1960.

Does anyone know more information about children's illustrator Mary Kendal Lee? She did a number of drawings in the 1940s and 50s, including some Enid Blyton illustrations. Searching Ancestry and the British Newspaper Archive doesn't bring up anything.

@shaquiuk.bsky.social Hi Shaqui, I saw an old thread of yours on the Comics UK forum about the Look-In Winter Specials from 1984 to 1990. Did you ever manage to complete your collection and, if so, would it be possible to get some screenshots of all the front covers please?
