Something that making comics professionally has made me appreciate is the fact that any single comic exists at all is an incredible act of creative defiance against the odds.

That good comics exist is beyond comprehension.

Something I wish was more widely understood about comics is that you have to do everything. Like sit through film or TV credits and look at the job titles. Especially for solo comic artist/writer, you have to do it all. Every decision those teams of people makes, in comics 1 person does it.

There’s so few of the current crop of horror/slashers which try to cash in on holidays that are actually any good, but it’s an very rare exception.
