I woke up to a bunch of corn reading material at my tent entrance. I have lots of reading to do. While I read I can mix up some skin salve and sunblock because a lot of patients are getting more sun than they should.

I set up my medical tent across from The World of Corn. I've had a chance to help a few people but most of my time has been spent watching two yahoos dancing around the corn statues cleaning the place up. I swear this was a movie I've seen.

(Tomorrow I undergo a TEVAR procedure. I'm nervous and I don't look forward to the recovery grumpies. I will let y'all know if I made it when I get my wits about me again. Be good.)

Antlers is a good friend. She checks on me when I'm cooking, gives excellent feedback when I develop my photographs, she even pays for the Nuka-Cherry she drinks with the cap from the bottle.

I'm in Flatwoods tomorrow to cover some first aid training classes. I might be able to get some fishing in during the evening if the weather doesn't get too bad.

My medical patrol was kind of on the uneventful side so I thought about a few recipe ideas. Like Tato Blossom and Soot Flower bread, the other was a sort of tamale made from ground corn, ground mole rat, spices, stuffed inside a gourd blossom then steamed.
