Critical #BikeDC gap closure at Florida/14th/H/MD NE almost done.

This was a project I personally pushed for over the past 2 years and will allow safe passage from the Florida Ave NE protected bike lane to neighborhood streets on Capitol Hill! #BikeSky

New in #BikeDC: Bike lane thru the M St NE underpass by NoMa Metro/MBT/REI! The grading between the bike lane and sidewalk is really slick.

The safest bike routes are rarely the most direct. This is the route my 5 year old daughter and I bike each day to camp in #bikeDC
This low-stress route adds another 5 minutes to our ride, but well worth the piece of mind and the confidence and skills she's building!

As part of the H St bus priority project, DDOT proposed moving a small section of the 14th St NE bike lane curbside between H and Maryland.
I asked if the concept could be extended north to Florida and south to G.
Now it's happening!
