I found this charred paper in my driveway, probably blown in from Eaton fire. Pretty sobering. I’m 10 miles away from Altadena.

I was just blasted awake by another apparently erroneous alert. Not cool LA County. Luckily I have the Watch Duty app to check real evac status. And there are none in my area.

I just stumbled on a 1954 photo of men in a detention facility in Elysian Park during the largest mass deportation in US History. The park is three blocks from my house. I walk there every day, and had no idea of this dark moment in its history.
