Takes elite skill players, that is for certain. A winger who offensively is one of the best 10 players in the league is worth way more than a physical defensively sound winger who can't create.

This is such a backwards way of thinking about things. There are many good coaches out there, it’s on people who interview them to find the right one. Just because you can’t see one, doesn’t mean they don’t exist.

QB's are definitely more valuable season to season, at the upper echelon at least. But an elite coach has your program elite for a decade + if they stick around, an elite QB has you elite for 3 years at most (likely 1 or 2 due to seasoning and development needed). Coaches are most valuable in ncaa
