She carries that baby around like she wears her cross - as a decoration not a devotion.

They’ve switched to their IR night cam and you can hear frogs(?). The camera points at a waterhole with Kilimanjaro behind it in the distance. Lots of elephants usually show up. www.youtube.com/live/XsOU8Jn...

😅 yeah I definitely pick a clear stretch of road with no oncoming traffic. It’s a skills thing - do it long enough, you’ll be fine

Me to Mother: you should have these documents before you need them

Mother: I’ve already told you what I want done with me

Mother: I’m so embarrassed you paid for Father’s cremation

Me: you can do pre-paid plans

TL;DR: my mother refused to do anything & now it’s all on me - resentment is high 😑

Leg-Stretch Stop at Agai Pahnunadu (Trout Lake (Walker L.))

Once home to Lahontan Cutthroat Trout, a century of ag diversion upstream of this terminal lake has left it nearly lifeless. Trout don’t swim, loons don’t stop.

Ancestral land of the Agai Dicutta Numa (Trout Eaters/Walker River Paiutes).

Actually what I think you, and all of us, may be experiencing is “right sizing.” Everything is getting smaller but price is not changing. For example, the tea I buy used to have 20 tea bags, but now it’s 18 in a box. Bag of coffee was 12 ounces but now 10.

Thank you.

I was facilitating “A Day in the Life of a Water Operator” training last week, and my message to interested & new operators was: y’all are the unsung, unseen & frequently unappreciated heroes. You’re public servants & public health professionals.

And today you’re a light in the dark.
