to be clear: they’re beneficial insects, so if they’re in an area where they can safely be left alone, nothing needs to be done! i had to deal with mine because the nest was in an unavoidable location and people and pets were getting stung.

i dealt with this last year! DIY wasp traps are pretty effective (they like meat 😩 - you basically bait them into drowning). or you can go after the nest itself if you’re brave enough (or have the ability to hire a pest control professional). whatever you do, do it ASAP—the colony will keep growing!
