Here it is, the most damning academic figure in the history of all figures: Russian IRA accounts deeply embedded in both sides of the 2016 Twitter BLM "discussion" (by @katestarbird.bsky.social & team, 2018).

THIS is what our information ecosystem supports. Twitter just made it 1% more visible.

We’re specifically interested in generated stories. If you mean use the human stories as seeds, yes, we have tried something similar.

We’re annotating some aspects of those stories and so we want the annotation to happen over a diverse space and not waste annotation effort.

In this paper, we investigate how well media frames generalize across different media landscapes. The 15 MFC frames remain broadly applicable, but requires revisions of the guidelines to adapt to the local context.

I think it's ok to blame the authors for not citing any related work or collaborating with any experts (if that's what they did, I haven't read the whole paper yet). That's on them, not anyone else, it's ok to leave the blame there IMO.
