We made a trek to catch the Bob Ross exhibit at the Dunn Museum in Libertyville before it closes tomorrow. What a pleasant and cheerful show! Especially interesting to see multiple video clips alongside paintings he created for the episode (he always made 3.) Bob Ross was an American treasure.

A video screen shows an episode of Bob Ross’s “Joy of Painting”, accompanied by the three paintings he created for that show. The farthest left is the demo painting he used as reference off camera, the middle is the one he painted during the episode, and the one on the right was painted afterwards for his book. A Bob Ross painting is displayed on an easel, framed by a giant, old fashioned TV set. A curly wig and a painters palette with brushes rest on the shelf of the easel.

Major holiday happiness with our new ornaments from Superdawg.

Nostalgic sister trip to the One of a Kind Show Chicago today. Still a novelty to visit as shoppers rather than exhibitors. We enjoyed seeing so much art and creativity but almost all of our purchases were in the gourmet section 🧑‍🍳.
