Oh definitely. I'll turn it on for a few wipes to clear it but there's no way I'd leave it on. That'd be attaching too much importance to it & the people behind would think I had notions about myself & my little car. It's gas because I don't care about what people think but notions must be avoided!

I can't read the full story but the lack of after care was a main factor in us deciding my mother would be better off paying to have cataract surgery done privately than travel to NI for it. It all sounded great, if everything went perfectly, but there was no plan if it didn't.

Never heard of such a thing until I went to college and met people from other parts of the country. They were, and still are, pencil parers in Offaly.

Not a poet but a short story writer. I just checked my submissions spreadsheet & there's one I've submitted to 14 times. I don't take their rejections personally. The next story could be the one that resonates with them so I would consider sending a 15th story if I had a good one. I've no shame!

I couldn't cope with that level of anticipation and the possibility that it might lead to nothing but disappointment. I'd be a wreck. I expect you not to be able to concentrate on anything until the lights come up tomorrow night. 🤞for you all!
