Thanks, Eimear - David followed up on foot of the tagging. Social media giving a useful, thoughtful answer - it all feels very retro. Also retro - kennings. Haven't thought about that word/concept since my Old & Middle English days in UCC, which is a good 1/4 century ago!

Thank you, David - that's a great answer, and I'd be interested to read that article whenever it appears. You may be interested to know that the Bua na Cainte Gaeilge programme, used in very many primary schools, is using ré (which prompted my question - I knew it as 'era', but never moon).

Why does your headline fail to reflect the nuance and context of the article, particularly @fplogue.bsky.social's contributions? And it should certainly have been possible to fact-check the actual rate of JR's relative to planning permissions sought.
