I've seen travel journals and manga talking about the Comiket experience. Yes, it looks very stressful to navigate through the event, whether you're just attending or you're a vendor.

For example, using ½ of the amount of spices in a recipe won't always work for balancing flavor for ½ the servings. It's like how cooking twice as hot doesn't cook twice as fast. It's a matter of experimenting as long as no one is sharing their findings, and that could get expensive.

I am in the camp of believing smaller-scale recipes should coexist with its regular-scale counterparts for those who don't have the people/space to feed 2+ people. I think a big issue with scaling down recipes is that 1-to-1 proportions don't always work.
