With support from the MOHCCN Health Informatics and Data Science Award, Lombard and her team will map GBM cell subtypes by oxygen levels and test how changing oxygen availability alters tumour makeup.

Network names eight early-career data scientists as recipients of its 2025 Health Informatics & Data Scientist Awards
Each will receive between $40,000 and $80,000 to support groundbreaking research in precision oncology.

With the support of a MOHCCN Health Informatics and Data Science Award, Zhang is working to make liquid biopsies more effective, arming clinicians with more information to make better diagnoses and choose more effective therapies.

🩺 Clinical data from 309 patients was also added to the Gold Cohort, bringing our total number of complete cases* to 7,142!
*A case is considered complete when full genomic profiling and clinical data are deposited into the MOHCCN.
