Thinking about TJ at the end of ch 83; standing alone in that men’s room after Ian stormed off. Too stunned to speak, but his mind must be racing. He realises that he can’t keep Ian by his side anymore, but he must act fast and do whatever it takes to make sure Ian’s safe. It makes my heart ache…

Thank goodness for Jess-Johan’s badass cat! I’ve been tearing up randomly because of what happened to J&J, but more so because their cat was still in the mansion that was burning down. Now I’m so happy to see that the kitty is safe, but more importantly she mf-ing saved her hoomans! 😭❤️🩹 #뼈와꽃잎

I empathise with Jo who felt insecure/anxious after seeing firsthand a little teaser of the bond btwn TJIan. But this type of self-serving, disingenuous rhetoric pisses me off. Not a single muscle in Ian’s face suggests that he wants to be let go. He’s the one chasing “that man” down the street ffs.

I hope wetsand has more expository scenes like this. It’s so thrilling the way Jo is 100% aware that Ian is in love with TJ, then sees the two of them rushing back to each other, so he deliberately interferes and keeps them apart. This made me firmly pick a side as far as the eg is concerned.

I’ll be honest. Everyone in this story has made questionable choices, out of desperation, obsession, and/or impulse. But there’s way too much emphasis on TJ’s wrongs. Every time he appears, the narrative pivots back to his mistakes. It’s lowkey anticlimactic.

My heart feels heavy whenever I think about this panel of TJ. On his own, guilt ridden, misunderstood, always a few seconds away from death, and carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. And as if his woes weren’t enough, he’s convinced himself that he is indebted to Jo (of all people).

All of this is 100% valid and i’m glad he said it out loud for TJ to hear, but when you think about love rivals, Ian’s is an imaginary woman, and TJ’s is a living, breathing man.
