I can't force BIPOC staff to become stewards if they feel like they will be targeted, I don't want my coworkers to lose their jobs/work in terror thinking they will. Only thing I can do is continue to build class solidarity and flex union muscle to make people feel more comfortable stepping forward.

I've been trying desperately to have an LEC that actually represents our staff (AKA not white!!!!!) but it turns out most white staff have the stable FT jobs and BIPOC staff do not and so it's the shitty balance of protecting those staff and representing them as mostly white union organizers.
