In late April 2015, a situation led me to a YouTube video with fragments of ’60s and ’70s tracks. If one caught my attention, I’d write it on a list to seek out later… or so I intended. In the end, the songs found me.

These days I’ve been feeling nostalgic for the time when I didn’t know who wrote "Morning Sunshine". It wasn’t a great time, but I miss the innocence. When I found out who he was, he appeared in my dream, with "Imposters of Life’s Magazine" playing in the background.

I’ve just found out that my school librarian passed away while "Shorty Blackwell" by The Monkees is stuck in my head. She has nothing to do with the song, but the song is so beautiful, and the nostalgia... It makes me want to cry.

My younger cousin told me I’m lucky because whenever I go out, something interesting happens. I told him that there are always stories for those who know how to observe. We saw a long caravan of buses and motorcycles following a funeral car, a flooded street, a man threatening another with a knife.

I feel so glad that Finn Wolfhard directed a George Harrison music video, and it’s in stop motion! Also, it’s the first song I ever heard from George as a solo artist back in 2015. 😭

Sometimes it bothers me when I see comments on songs like “Bob Dylan’s Dream” or “In My Life” saying things like “Wow, he wasn’t even 25 yet,” as if young people weren’t capable of feeling nostalgia. Maybe it affects me because it scares me, what if nostalgia only gets worse as you get older?
