he was a very weird little guy, sometimes a bit of an asshole, but was very affectionate and loved us both, as did we, him. we are obviously devastated by this, but gratefully were given the time to say goodbye to him properly, and in the comfort of our own home instead of a vet office.

two days ago, my partner and I had to say goodbye to our little guy, Oreo. he was about 10 years old and was found on the street by my partner as a kitten, and was incredibly important to both of us.

for context, the bug is that `layout(row_major) buffer;` doesn't apply to matrices in structs. it does if I apply row_major to the buffer block itself, or to the struct member, but the default is just Ignored in this one case.
