Sorry, those are great, but those are #2 & #3. Plight before Christmas takes the cake. Gene's concert playing over a sincere Louise poem just goes too hard.

Welcome back to the waking world! I hope your recovery is as easy as possible from here on out and get ready to see Alonso dong for us next year!!!!

I keep waiting to see her excitement.

THAT'S FUTURE PROBLEM. TODAY WE HAVE BIG MAN HIT HARD COMING TO BALTIMORE AND I WILL NOT BE SADDENED BY IT

Upside. Is it more of a gamble? Absolutely. But breakout years are where playoffs are won. You need people who overperform and can carry a team to new heights. Yeah it means you also get shit years that feel bad for payroll, but give me a WS and a 60 win season over 2 flameouts in the WC round.

Do....do I start to get hopeful for this?? I absolutely know that I always like to fantasize about unobtainable rosters. But... Mayo to OF and signing Alonso.... Does this feel actually possible or am I crazy?

Also if we're going to actually talk about the worst bread, your original statement is wrong because it would place pane toscano above sourdough. Pane toscano does not belong above any bread.
December 7, 2025 at 2:28 PM
I know I'm not going to change anyone's mind, but also it's more that sourdough is just overrated. It's the *perfect* bread for certain situations, but it is not a good bread for *all* situations. Despite that a lot of people try to use it everywhere and it sucks when it's used at the wrong time.

Yeah caffeine naps are amazing. There should legit be an undergrad class devoted to teaching about them.

To me *this* is the real argument against it. I won't oppose a rule because it hurts the O's, but I will if it hurts baseball. Again not trying to convince anyone of anything. I'm just a fan of the rule but that doesn't mean it isn't without fault.
December 1, 2025 at 1:31 AM
I'll say as someone who likes the ghost runner, I don't want to base my opinion on a rule on how we perform because of it. Even if we lost every single extra innings game I wouldn't be angry at the rule; I'd be angry at our failure to adapt to it. Not trying to change any1s mind. Just my thoughts.

Please don't make me believe there is a real chance for RF Mayo and signing Alonso. Don't do this to me.
November 27, 2025 at 8:15 PM
If we miss Framber who would you want to target next? Suarez? King? Bassitt?
November 27, 2025 at 1:20 AM
I'm team TON. I think most Os fans underrate him a lot. But also TON as part of a trade for pitching with Mayo to RF and getting Alonso would make me so insufferably happy I don't know what I'd do with myself.

Antoni is not (and actually never was) head of the BLS. Nomination was withdrawn well before it ever moved anywhere.
November 21, 2025 at 12:51 PM
If TON has that many PAs there's no way he only gets 20 HR. It's so weird to me that they're pretty bullish on him staying relatively healthy but then underrate his production if he does?
November 13, 2025 at 1:08 PM
Mostly if we do worse than this I'm angry and want Elias gone. If this is our last option then I'm disappointed even if it's realistic, but not inherently angry. But also I'd much prefer we get a better bat. I'd even be ok with another lefty over Meyers if they're good enough.
November 13, 2025 at 12:55 AM
That's fair. If the answer is him as our RH bat we sign this off-season then honestly I'm disappointed. And I think we could probably get someone better without having to trade or with a smarter trade. But if we are struggling to find bats and are able to land 2 SP then I'd be ok with this.
November 13, 2025 at 12:55 AM
No. Unless we get an IF bat first. I want a vet impact bat, OF feels easier to slot in. Meyers is not an impact so we strain our already thin rotation for a CF who plays how often if our big signing ends up in the OF? Or we bump Cowser or Beavers to platoon duty?
November 13, 2025 at 12:46 AM
I think Cowser is untouchable to me. Not just because of what you mentioned, but when he came back from the IL everyone on the team seemed to improve instantly. I think he's just got such a good impact on club morale that I wouldn't feel comfortable parting with that in this off-season
