This looks like Kessler and Banks to me.

I have no recollection of taking these but perhaps there's a good reason for that!

#10 Inside No 9: Stage/Fright - Edinburgh Playhouse (26 November)

Great fun seeing Stage/Fright for the second time.

Highly recommended even if you haven't seen any of the show.

There is that, of course. I really hope we do see J&J with Bob again... after a Sugar album that lives up to Copper Blue/Beaster.

#51 Bob Mould (band) / Stefan Saffer - Columbia Theater, Berlin (23 November)

Yeah, I'm not so sure. Think the immediate future is going to be Sugar based on the statement. Not sure there's going to be a need for solo stuff if there's new Sugar.

Glasgow was really good but the band show was on a totally different level.

Sad to think it's not impossible that I may not see Jason and Jon play with Bob again and hear so many of these great songs from the last decade or so with a band behind them.

I also tend to think that the very short run of European band shows is partly due to encouraging demand for Sugar dates next year.

Just saw my reply! I obviously meant to say “under wraps” not warships!

The lack of new songs in the solo sets has been commented on elsewhere with the consensus being that the new songs will go towards a new Sugar album.

Abandoned: Thomas Pynchon - Gravity's Rainbow #libraryloan

Not the best time to start reading this for different reasons but barely managed more than 150 pages in over a month.

Had go back to the library but not sure I'll ever summon up the energy to try again in future.

#50 Bob Mould/Che Arthur - Oran Mor, Glasgow (18 November)

Fitting way to mark the half century of gigs this year. Excellent Bob show in Glasgow although delay in getting through meant I barely saw any of support Che Arthur.

All going to plan, #51 should also be Bob... in Berlin.

Do you know how frequently we should be getting/buying these? Annually or more frequently?
November 19, 2025 at 6:59 PM
It was just inappropriate with Bob putting his heart out on stage. Just a worse variant of talking during the acts.

No, if he's been writing he's keeping the new stuff under warships. A couple from Here We Go Crazy was as new as it got.

My recollection of my first Mary Chain gig was at Coasters in Edinburgh and was that it was about 20 minutes long and they played You Trip Me Up twice.

I think there's evidence that suggests that it was actually (a bit) longer but that they did indeed play YTMU twice!
