Yeah, right? Sometimes it just doesn't work the way it should.
I knew it was weak when I wrote it, made it stronger with an edit, and then had some Alpha readers make some really good points that made me revisit it again.
Managed to salvage half the chapter, but the next one needs work, too 🙈

I've had to do it a few times, and it sucks every time. I managed to salvage the back half of the chapter, though, and reworked it so it fit with the new first half! But damn, tossing the whole chapter sucked so much.

Book one edits will be on hold until after I get back from Cyprus because I think they'll be too tricky to do on my tablet.
