Believe it or not it happened because your description of Trump’s lack of attributes applies to many Americans.

Millions more people worldwide now know how a reputable historian views Trump than would have listened to the original lecture. Many more people have heard of the Reith Lectures than listen to them. Many more people will listen to them in the future.

Everyone knows he's a disgusting racist and all allegations about him are true. Problem is that his supporters don't care. Indeed it emboldens them to express their views publicly.

A question I keep asking is whether Labour seriously believe that the number of Reform votes they’ll gain will outnumber the number of core supporters they’ll lose. I think it unlikely that Reform voters will vote Labour but highly likely that Labour will haemorrhage core support.

I'm constantly thinking that many people I come across in daily life are either woefully uninformed or thick as mince or believe what they read in the Mail or all of the above. I push back on the most egregious comments but honestly sometimes it's just exhausting and I peace out.

But will they stand up to him? It seems to people outside of the US that his behaviour gets more egregious each day but for the most part it is tolerated especially by your media. At what point will journalists simply walk out of press conferences? When will all Republicans call out his treachery?

Does he know that the churches with the largest congregations are those attended by people of colour? What world is he living in?

What made Britain great were the men and women from other countries who came to rebuild Britain after the WW2. Who fought alongside to protect this country. Who did the jobs Brits didn't want to do. These people made Britain great.
