Paint addicted poet, playful philosopher artist on bugs. (Butterflies for preference.) 🛺 I love oddness and snippets, my mind was born as a rat run, now branching out into highways & sacred places. Often to be found hanging out in or near reality.

It's not good, is it, when the supposedly Labour govt is merrily bodging holes in the very systems that are crucial to keeping our 'democracy', such as it is, in one piece.

See my latest post, Dennis. It won't be handled differently. Clear signal.

Thanks Ed. And for the lovely chat! 🌺

I guess it also depends on the big public galleries, if they are interested in my show (Birdsong At Midnight.) Often they will go for ideas that are culturally relevant, and whose time has come. Fingers crossed!

Thank you for saying Chris! 😍

I do wonder if people will react similarly to my work. I had an exhibition two years ago, a small one, which I didn't publicise - I wanted to test the waters. A majority found the images difficult, but those who could 'see' them absolutely loved it.

Maybe Gormley is 'easier' for some, do you think?

Good words, Jarl. There's a lot of rage in that pic. I'm glad you like it. Me too! I just need a venue now for the exhibition. I'd like to show in London, or maybe Bristol.

He's not really my taste... :)

I'd say so. Particularly on why the explosion in 'clean-er' energies hasn't seen a large drop in fossil fuel use. And about lying, deceit, avoidance, misinformation across the boaqrd. He says it's impossible to fix a problem when the reality of it is so uniformly concealed/misrepresented.

The UK might be the most myopic country in the world, on this. I'm surrounded by people who range from fully asleep to sort of awake-ish, but not really. I mean, even Greens are mostly pretty complacent. I posted a painting earlier, which I worked on during cop. It looks how I feel!

Have you read Mike Berners Lee 'A Climate of Truth'? It's excellent.

Unpopular? Wow, hard to imagine. Jam for you though. How wonderful to have it all to yourselves!

I did, Elinor. It was clear, wasn't it, what had happened. His last column. And the way he ended it. I do wish we could have honest conversations in this country about the state of affairs with regard to the climate crisis and ecosystems breakdown.

Gosh Ed, I'm in tears here. I'm so moved and stirred by Kiefer's work. Ever since I saw it in the Tate many years ago, no idea who he was. But it stayed with me....
