Our 2nd boss encounter we added this week to Doomed Stars fires streams of reflector missiles that push players away if they get hit. Avoiding the hail of fire lets the player get in close to hit weak point vents.

This week in Doomed Stars we added a new boss encounter. It fires pulses of projectiles in all directions & is protected by a ring of replenishing PD emplacements.

For our last boss strat this week, the mega bomb on the Nanite Swarm actually has just enough AOE to bypass type 3 station armor is carefully fired to detonate just at the edge of being reflected.

Continuing or boss defeating strats from yesterday, the Dimensional Horror has the easiest time dealing with Type 2 stations. Just stay between its lasers while taking out the shielders then Eldritch Beam the station.

This week we are going over some strats for taking on bosses. For type 1 stations the stellar drake can position itself just right to heal from the stream of plasma while still being able to hit the vent.

The Nanite Swarm is special in our new Doomed Stars Oncoming Apocalypse mode. While it still has the 3x max health, nonexistent cooldowns, & inability to heal, its missiles also no longer drain health.

We added a new mode to Doomed Stars, Oncoming Apocalypse. Players have triple maximum health and vastly reduced cooldowns, but are unable to heal.

This week's bonus objective pass saw some new rewards added to Doomed stars including one to give sight range boosts in the overworld and one to add armor for the next encounter.

The Imperium of the Binary Stars relies on some Alcubierre Drive adjacent technology for their FTL travel. Slower than other species's Inertia Inversion drives. Probably why they haven't met any aliens.

The imperium of the binary stars is matriarchal bipedal leonine race. They have spread across several stars in their region of space but not encountered any alien species.

In Doomed Stars, the Automated Dreadnought is an ancient weapon from a war when the universe was younger. The Imperium merely found it and accidentally reactivated it while trying to study it.

Unlike the other Great Ones the Nanite Swarm is a creation solely of the Imperium. Trying to create a grey goo weapon, they succeeded, but it broke containment.

We did another pass on controller testing this week in doomed star & good thing to. Our aim assist needed a rewrite as the original code resulted in Swarm missiles flying into the void sometimes.

Doomed Stars player preferences are stored in a file. It should always be created before it is read from. A now fixed bug circumvented that & lead to a crash. Important to test builds like fresh installs.

This week in Doomed Stars we focused on fixing some bugs. One that had been lingering for awhile was the menu resume button not registering input from the controller. Turned out to be a fairly easy toggle to fix.
