Hello to all the new followers! I'm a startup indie publisher - a small fish in a huge publishing pond - and so I'm always looking for interesting ways to shine a spotlight on our books. I'm so proud to have published this mini stack, but I'm so excited about our new titles too📚 manderleypress.com
“Once upon a time in Central Park, there was a garden. It was perched on a small hilltop and reached by high stone steps. It had flower beds blooming in spring, summer and autumn,
and a famous mulberry tree; and it was called the
Shakespeare Garden.”

I was in #Whitby for the Literary Festival + visited the archives in the local museum to research the writer #StormJameson who we will republish next year. This ghoulish dried human hand (on display in the museum) points the way through the town. One can see why Bram Stoker’s #Dracula was set here!

This @manderleypress.bsky.social book is such a joy. Life-affirming escapism. I just spent 10 mins on Google Maps trying (& failing) to find a tiny alley off E 71st St that Hanff describes as a perfect English mews. Now I want to go to NYC to seek it out. There must/should be a map of Hanff spots🤔💡.

Ah autumn light - the perfect way to showcase the sparkly text on the front cover of our new book - The Strange House by Raymond Briggs. My daughter calls this design “goblin core” - do you agree? #autumn 💙📚#booksky

The sheer joy of discovering a forgotten portrait of an author you're about to republish - by one of your favourite artists no less. There's nothing like it!
This is #SusanErtz by #Gluck from 1936. Dot-connections like this are one of the best parts of being a publisher 💙📚#booksky

Pretty much the exact view Mary Shelley would have had of Jacob's Ladder on the facade of Bath Abbey from her window as she wrote chapter 4 of #Frankenstein in 1816. Note the stone angels ascending and descending... @realgdt.bsky.social we can’t wait to see this played out on screen too! 💙📚#booksky

We celebrated Mary Shelley in Bath, in Bath itself! Thank you @fionasampson.bsky.social and @waterstonesbath.bsky.social for helping us to bring her words back to life. We can’t wait to see them resurrected on screen too - roll on #frankenstein by @realgdt.bsky.social later this month! 💙📚#booksky
