Hell Maiden was my favorite demo! Vampire Survivors, but with some extra mechanics that go a long way in making each run feel fresh. The presentation is absolutely on point here; the art style is gorgeous, the music is fantastic, and the Dante's Inferno theme works really well. Please play this!

GODBREAKERS is a 3D action roguelike with absolutely zero sauce whatsoever. Upgrades are rare, weak, and hardly ever build-changing. Enemy ranged attacks get incredibly large telegraphs while melee attacks come out nearly instantly. Very underbaked as a whole.

KLOSTYN is a half-life inspired boomer shooter that I really enjoyed. The aesthetic isn't really my cup of tea, and it commits a bit *too* hard to imitating the performance of 90s PC games, but fuck is it fun to go through these levels.

Surprised to even see this featured in Next Fest, but I was pleasantly surprised by this one. I was a big fan of the BfBB remake, but I skipped out on the follow-up. This entry is super charming and has some super impressive model animation. Bonus points for having the entire VO cast from the show.

Barrel Roll is a roguelike deck builder with a revolver instead of a deck. Really interesting concept, but I don't feel like I got an idea of just how far it can go with the limited run depth in the demo.

Homura Hime has the sauce. Nier combat with a focus on ultra-fast combat. One of my favorite parry buttons ever. PLEASE give this one a shot!

Many Mini Typing Games is WarioWare but a typing tutor with a chronically online sense of humor. I had an absolute blast with this.

The entirety of Voyager's journey home recontextualized as Oregon Trail in Space is really really cool, especially with the potential to deviate from the original show. Unfortunately, the presentation is really lacking and you can tell Paramount underfunded it severely. Still thoroughly enjoyed!

Verho - Curse of Faces is a Kings Field-like with a bleak atmosphere and perfect tone for this kind of game. Not my cup of tea, but there's a neat package here for the real sickos to devour.

Ledgerbound is strategy game VN with a hilarious premise but unfortunately is little half-baked in terms of the actual gameplay. I'm already not a strategy gamer and the systems here really didn't drag me in, but I can totally see thiss game shine with a bit more polish all around.
