Fantastic 4: First Steps. Definitely the best Fantastic 4 made to date. Far from the best Marvel has made. Appreciate them not focusing on an origin story for the 4 and just jumping straight in. I give it a Spicy Italian Sandwich. 🎥 🎬

Thunderbolts is worth watching. Fun, good action, with a nicely told emotionally driven story at its core. It does a good job of breaking the Marvel pattern of being a movie solely for the sake of setting up the next movie. I give it a Turkey Cheddar Panini 📽️ 🎬

Yeah, go see this one in theaters. Top notch sound track, story, and acting. Worth catching in Dolby or IMAX. Philly Cheesesteak. 📽️ 🎬

Death of a Unicorn. Very fun creature feature with a satisfying dash of social commentary. A24 always manages to tell the most human stories no matter the theme. I disagree heavily with the critics on this one, I give it A Philly Cheesesteak.

This movie was better than I anticipated. It's exactly what you would expect but very well done. Jack Quaid is ridiculously charming and the choreography well executed. Plenty of pain cringes and laughs. I give it a Chicken Panini 🎬 📽️

Presence, good movie, a story told from a unique perspective. A lot of movies that choose a unique perspective like this don't have the guts to stick to it unflinchingly throughout the whole film. Excellent use of tension and suspense. 📽️ 🎬

The Dead Don't Die: Great little horror comedy, phenomenal casting. Wonderfully dry humor. It's giving Shaun of the Dead but very different. Feels like a movie that shouldn't work but somehow it does. On Netflix now. 📽️🎬

War of the Rohirrim: Not great, could have been good but the animation held it back. Set pieces looked good. Almost had that Ghibli feel with that hyper detailed back ground but in the end it only served to highlight how relatively poor the animation was. 📽️🎬

Secret Level. The show is a bit of a mixed bag but there are some real gems in there. The animations are absolute top notch across the board and some big names voice a fair number of characters. Worth the watch. 8 Eps out now 8 more next week.

Star Wars: Skelton Crew. Ep 1. It really feels like someone said "what if we do The Goonies but in Star Wars?" I don't know if it'll hold up for the whole season but the first episode was charming and enjoyable. Waiting for the elephant kid to do the truffle shuffle though.

Creature Commandos: James Gunn has once again shown he thoroughly understands the assignment. Great entry into the DC animated catalog. Good mix of humor reminiscent of adult swim shows, with enough drama and intrigue to keep it interesting. Sound track is a bop. Good fights too. 📺

Gladiator II This film kinda felt phoned in. The pacing is pretty bad. I'm not generally a stickler for historic accuracy in this kind of film but compared to the first one this is practically a fantasy film. The acting was good and the action scenes were decently choreographed. 📽️

While Dune Prophecy lacks a bit of the impact and mystique that the newer Dune films have, the first episode definitely leaves me wanting more in the best way 📺
