also from a possible gamedev perspective: having to draw sprites for separate part 1/2 outfits, including those for battle, feels tedious and redundant given that there is little distinguishing the two

the part 1 and 2 thing came from a really old draft of the story where part 1 took place in a academy setting (this was pre 3h trust LOL). I scrapped this because the plot’s pacing felt weird, since the party were stuck in one place, before finally being able to explore the rest of the continent
