I don't really enjoy watching sport and I live in a country where baseball is seen as more boring than cricket. But I enjoyed The Game That Did ALL The Innings commentary on Blue sky. I also secretly enjoy seeing all the people complaining about it too.

whilst I don't disagree, the text of the law (to my uneducated reading) might suggest that in this specific instance, the person accessing the information might reasonably suspect that they shouldn't be able to access it?

I am not a lawyer at all, merely a computer science teacher and we don't have to teach it in any real depth beyond "bruteforcing passwords is a crime". My opinion was based on the Reuters-Intentia thing from 2002?, which I can't find a resolution for now, and obviously wasn't the UK law anyway.

The computer misuse act is vaguely written enough that it *could* be interpreted as an offence. Guessing URLs isn't functionally different to guessing passwords. Both result in unauthorised access of a computer system.

I had a very similar issue a while back, and now my fan turns off immediately with the light instead of running in the dark for 10 minutes. I have never been able to summon the energy to try and work out the proper wiring. It's good enough.
