Fantastic article! Thanks for sharing, Jenn. Even those who work in game localization are not aware of how much dealing with the situations described in the article drains our energy and affects our mental health in the long run.

I couldn't agree more. Localization significantly improves when companies facilitate that interaction, so both parties should push in that direction. I am sure writers care about what happens to their creations when they are sent for translation. 😊

Sounds lovely. I have a question: do game writers often engage in conversation with the translators that will be localizing their game? What can we all do to make it happen? ☺️ I feel there is little interaction between writers and localizers despite the strong bond.
