To add, the black rhino pppulation also increased slightly to 6421 with the largest populations in Namibia (2196), South Africa (2065) & Kenya (938).

An estimated 26 Javan rhino are thought to have been poached between 2019 and 2023 leaving the population below 50 and possibly as low as only 34 individuals.
