We need new leaders in Washington. I’m running for Senate to be one. Let’s go.
This is a bad deal, and the old way of doing things is clearly not working.

We need new leaders in the Senate.

Americans can’t afford this deal.

Democrats can fight AND win — just like we did in our budget battle in Michigan.

A promise isn’t a deal. Don’t settle.

Up in the UP, a reporter informed me that at least one local Republican elected official said that claims of rising healthcare costs is “a myth.”

Nothing about the letter you’re receiving in your hands - or the price hikes you see as you navigate open enrollment - is a myth.

UA Local 333 has expanded their apprenticeship program from dozens to hundreds in a matter of years.

As a State Senator, I’ve helped fund their expansion, creating new opportunities for the growing demand. And to watch that funding come to life at their new facility in Lansing is a sight to see.

Farmers and families in the UP are doing everything right, but are being held back when the government creates too many hurdles and not enough pathways.

Thanks to Dan and Amy Jere for the candid conversation at Jere Farms – and a downright delicious meal.

Wynett Guy’s race for Southfield City Clerk is one of so many consequential races across the state today.

That’s why I’m standing with her to make sure to remind people there’s still time to vote for her as a write-in.

THIS WEEKEND: Help protect democracy by knocking doors for Wynett Guy for Southfield City Clerk!

Her MAGA opponent signed onto a lawsuit to throw out over one million Michigan votes on Trump's behalf in 2020.

Election Day is Tuesday. LFG!

Trump is withholding funding that’s *already there* for SNAP. They’re using hunger as a political weapon by choice.

While federal Republicans willingly let kids go hungry, we passed $70M in the State Senate to do what we can.

Thank you to Dr. Usha Ram, Dr. Sudha Purohit, and this incredible community at Bharatiya Temple in Troy for welcoming me to celebrate Diwali and the temple’s 50th anniversary. Here’s to 50 more, and to light over darkness.

It’s not complicated. If your nurse is juggling too many patients while you’re in the hospital, it’s that much harder to keep you safe.

On the picket line with striking nurses at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc demanding safe staffing ratios.

Too many patients per nurse = unsafe care for YOU.

We stand with you, Teamsters 332 ✊

Today, it’s proof of what we can build back. That resurgence is alive and well at Lily’s & Elise tea house.

**Two** constituent wins in the State Senate this morning.

My bill to establish a Silver Alerts system passed unanimously.

My bill to temporarily excuse family caretakers of a hospice patient or a child with a serious health condition from jury duty passed 34-2.

We won’t unlock Michigan's future without growing manufacturing *and* creating new jobs in medical research, clean energy, ag, and other industries.

Doing the same thing we did in the past without growing lacks a real vision for Michigan’s economy.
